Glossybox, June Edition

I have to say when this lovely little box came to my door this morning I was amazed - after all they were only sent out yesterday!
This months box is all about channelling your "sexy summer style" and just in time, Glasgow is beginning to heat up again. And so in celebration of this box, I decided to take my pictures outside.

 This months Glossybox contained:

Glossybox Beauty Brush -This is a very cute little extra, I'm not an expert brush user but I have been trying to gather a nice little collection of brushes recently and this will make a fine addition to my growing collection.

YVES Rocher France Mini Mascara "ultra-volume Sexy Pulp" - This is a very cute little mascara, the little bristles seem to be quite good and the mascara is supposed to give "generous curves and gives 12 hour wear". I love mascara and hopefully I'll fall in love with this one.

BM beauty Summer Warmth Bronzer -I'm not a huge fan of bronzer, never really have been but if this lovely and affordable ( £8 for the full size ) makes me happy then I think that this might find its way onto my shelf.

Agent Provocateur Three Mini Samples - These little glass bottles (yes glass) with little spray tops, spell lovely! Very sweet and flowery, perfect for summer. The full sized bottle is £39, which is a good price for a 50ml bottle.

Vichy Dermablend Ultra-Corrective Foundation Cream Stick - This is meant to cover all skin flaws be they big or be they small. This will be interesting to try out, there are a few different shades so matching it with my skin shouldn't be hard - or at least that's the theory.

E.L.F :)

Recently I went shopping with my mum and as I said in my previous post I managed to find some nice things.
Once I got home I took a wander to eyeslipsface.co.uk and spent £20 on make-up and brushes - I got a free goody bag worth £9.50. (wooo!) Personally i think that £20 for 7 pieces plus postage isn't that bad, i don't often splurge on make-up so i see this as being a treat.
My order arrived a few days ago, and I have to say so far I love it!
I got a foundation brush and a face brush - they are so soft!!! Eye shadow applicators - give a much better finish than fingers- A matte lip colour in Natural - its a pretty colour but its not what I'm used to, I tend to go for darker colours, All Over Cover Stick in Ivory, Studio Zit Eraser and make-up mist and set spray.

Everything I bought was between £1.50 and £3.75, which is amazing for high quality make-up! The goody bag that came with it contained an E.L.F Beauty Book- this is essentially every colour you would need for the "natural eye look", it comes with step by step instructions on how and where to put your eye make-up, a Nail polish in Light Red and a All over Cover stick in Toasted. I have to say there is nothing light about this red, it is an amazing deep red colour, the cover stick is to dark for my face, but it would be good for blush or maybe even bronzer.

I will definitely be buying more from E.L.F, as soon as I get more money.

Have you tried any E.L.F products or plan on buying any?

Decoupage bunny :)

Awhile ago I decided to try my hand at making animals from paper. After searching on google I found a site that told you how to make a rabbit, he sat in my bedroom looking a little bare- although he did look very cute. A trip to hobby craft later and ready with PVA glue and decoupage paper I started giving it some colour. So here my little bunny is now - all colourful and lovely. All that's left is to give him some googley eyes, a fluffy tail and a little bow round his neck. :)

So all in all I think it looks pretty cool, all lovely and blue and flowery.

Hello Blog world :)!

Summer is almost upon us, so my lovely mum took me out shopping. I gathered a few really nice things from Primark, New look, Boots and Topshop.

Upon another blog of which says going to Primark early is so much better and a hell of a lot more fun, I thought my mum and I could go to Braehead - our biggest local shopping centre - early. I have always hated the crowds, the huge lines at the checkouts, not to mention that all the clothes are thrown everywhere.
I was so happy when we arrived shortly after opening time to a clean, calm and quiet Primark. You're able to stroll around without feeling rushed into buying anything.

I managed to find a few nice things, some of the stuff I had picked up was nice but on me it just didn't suit. In the end i bought a sleeveless collared shirt with metal tips for £12, a Disney Thumper the Rabbit top for £6 and  a pair of lace shorts for £10.
I had been looking for a nice shirt for awhile and was so chuffed when I found this. I have to say I was a little worried that it wouldn't look right when I tried it on as many of this type of shirt that I have tried doesn't suit me and my small height and larger than most peoples chest.
I usually walk out of Primark feeling like it was a waste of time and a drain on my energy, not this time though, i walked out feeling happy at my buys and ready for the next shop.

After a bite to eat we moved on to New look, I don't usually shop here - I'm more of a online shopper - Very.co.uk ect. -  but we went in had a nosey around, my mum picked things up for me that I never usually would have. After trying things on, we managed to whittle out the good, the bad and the ones that sadly didn't fit. I walked out with a pair of Kelly Brook's shorts from the new range for £22.99, a light purple Blazer for £24.99 and a sleeveless bird print shirt for £19.99. I used my Young Scot Card to secure a discount of £6.80 - not much but its better than nothing.
I was disappointed that their "Ethel Floral Bustier Top" didn't fit round the chest. I really feel that they should make these in sizes for those whom have a larger bust, it was so pretty and was really flattering - I'd advise anyone to go try it on and if it fits buy it!! I'm so jealous of you who can fit into them.

Moving on, I only got one thing from boots - 17 eye liner pen in Soft Jet, it cost me £3.99 and goes on so perfectly. The final shop of the day was Topshop, I went in with a list of things I wanted to try on, alas they only had a few of the things I was looking for. I got a nail varnish in "Razzmatazz" for £6 (its such a pretty + sparkly colour) and a pair of pink lacy socks for £3.50.

All in all I thought it to be a pretty successful shopping trip, got some nice clothes and spent some quality time with my mum :)

Sleeveless collared shirt - Primark
Lace shorts - Primark

Bird print top - New look

Kelly Brook shorts - New Look

Purple Blazer - New Look

Topshop nail polish in Razzmatazz

pink socks - Topshop

17 eye pen - Boots

I hope you've enjoyed, have you found any nice things from shops recently?

Glossybox, May Edition

I've been hearing about Glossybox for awhile now so decided to get a subscription, its £10 a month + £2.95 for postage.
My first glossybox was for May, which happened to be their anniversary box. As a special gift there was a balloon and a compact mirror, along with 5 other reasonable sized samples.
I have to say that for my first box I am really pleased with the box as a whole. There is nothing I could fault about it: the contents were fab, the design was sleek and elegant and the wrapping ( i guess thats what you could call it?) were sweet.
When the box arrived, I was already impressed. The box was sweet - and I hadn't even opened it yet.
Once the packaging was removed, revealing the sleek white glossy box. Smooth to the touch and elegant.

The packaging is so cute, the birthday themed paper tied together with a bow.

The box contained:

A Pink Balloon - This is a cute little extra that Glossybox has included, it has currently found a place on top of my computer screen :)

A Glossybox Compact Mirror - I have to say I was so happy when this came in the box, I've been looking for a nice little compact mirror for my bag for awhile now, this was a little god send. I salute you Glossybox

Noble Isle Summer Rising Bath & Shower Gel - This smells heavenly, Noble Isle is inspired by the natural and cultural riches of the British Isles. It's British, smells heavenly - what more can you ask from a bath wash?

Lolita Lempicka, Eau de Parfum & Si Lolita - I have to say I had never heard of this perfume before, and I always love to try out some new stuff. I love the name and the packaging - I wish I could say that I love these perfumes, but sadly I only liked Si Lolita, I'm not sure how to describe it, I think there is a spicy smell to it, but it smells amazing and very girly. I don't know why I didn't lie Eau de Parfum, I'll have another try with it, maybe I can grow to love it? I don't think I'll be buying the full size unless I can find it cheaper, I feel £60 is a little pricey for a perfume, especially when there are really nice perfumes available for cheaper.

Apivita Express Beauty Masks - I've never heard of this brand but I love face masks. They are not pricey, in fact I think for a good mask £3.50 is a good price. They claim to be 90% natural, and anything natural must be good.

Osmo Berber Oil Hair treatment - Recently I've been trying to be a little nicer to my  hair, trying creams and sprays ect. This oil claims it will return your hair to pristine condition, it contains Argon oil to help restore dry & damaged hair, i have a fair few split ends and I can't wait to try this out.

Eldora False Eyelashes - I have to say I have never worn false eyelashes before and I'm not sure if I will try these out, maybe if I get some contact lenses then I will but without contacts all they would do is get crushed against my glasses. Despite this, they are really nice looking and look like they would give you a nice full lash look that you could probably get away with wearing daily.

So what do you think of the birthday box?

Blogging Birth

Earlier this week I decided that I wanted to start a blog. So here I am typing up my first post, hoping that I actually continue the blog after today.

Hopefully this can become my hobby.

I feel as if i should tell you what to expect from my blog, it shall be on pretty much anything - but shall central in on fashion and beauty ( you know the drill what I buy, opinions on products ect. ect.) there shall be the occasional post on things I have crafted and maybe even a movie or something I've seen on TV.

I hope you enjoy my blog and take as much pleasure from reading it as I shall take from writing it.
